Community Therapy Ireland Clinical Governance Committee

Community Therapy Ireland are committed to promoting the highest standards of clinical governance, quality, safety and ethical practice across our national membership.

Our Clinical Governance Committee plays a central role in achieving this commitment. The Committee provides strategic oversight of Community Therapy Ireland's clinical governance work, helping to ensure that our policies, standards and initiatives reflect national best practice while supporting high-quality, safe and person-centred counselling and psychotherapy services. The Committee also oversees the development of the Clinical Governance Badge of Excellence, supports continuous quality improvement, reviews emerging clinical issues and promotes excellence across our member services.

A key priority of the Committee is ensuring that the voices and experiences of individuals engaging with services remain central to its work. It also considers national developments in mental health policy, professional regulation and clinical practice to ensure Community Therapy Ireland continues to provide leadership and support to the community therapy sector.
